How to Create a Project Management Plan: A Simple Guide from AdminCore

Step 1: Discussion with team and stakeholders

Before you can create a project management plan, you need to first identify the goal of the project. What is it that you hope to achieve? Once you have a clear goal in mind, you can start to create a plan that will help you achieve it.

With a clear goal and a detailed plan, you’ll be well on your way to a successful project.

What to Consider before setting the priorities and goals :

  1. How will this affect your stakeholders?
  2. Involve the team in the planning process and meet them for feedback.
  3. Are there enough resources ? What else is needed?
  4. Possible risks projects can have?
  5. Figure out who is a stakeholder who will be involved. (customers and employees may also be stakeholders in this project)

Step 2: Identify the goals and objectives of the project

Before you dive into your goals, consider your priorities first. What is more important here?

  • Time
  • Budget
  • Quality

The most important – set measurable goals!
Answer the following questions:

  • What are you hoping to achieve here?
  • How will you measure that?
  • What’s considered a success?

In addition, there are a few different elements that you’ll need to include in your plan. First, you’ll need to identify the tasks that need to be completed in order to achieve your goal. Next, you’ll need to assign those tasks to team members and set deadlines. Finally, you’ll need to create a system for tracking progress and ensuring that the project stays on track.
